The Secret Garden — healed by what you heal
Mary Lennox arrives sour, sallow and half-alive — and is not healed by a doctor. She is healed by a locked garden she decides to tend. That is the whole doctrine of this wall: a woman is healed by what she heals. Water poured, food chosen on purpose, the body moved and stretched and rested — every small tending of yourself is a tending of everyone who depends on you.
The garden was not dead. It was only waiting for someone to come daily. So is the body. "This chest must be filled every single day" — not perfectly, daily. The Secret Garden is not homework; it is the mirror that shows you what daily tending does to a living thing.
